Kenneth: 50 Years of Design

Long known as one of the country's top designers, Kenneth is known throughout Cincinnati and beyond as hairstylist to the stars! Kenneth's background is in European haircutting. He trained under the Artistic Director of Antoine's of New York in the early 1960's. Believing that women should have the freedom to express themselves as individuals, and heavily influenced by Vidal Sassoon, he introduced the cut-and-blow-dry style to Cincinnati. He dealt a major blow to the weekly “standing” wash-and-set appointment--a bold and innovative move that branded him a rebel in the industry!

Kenneth perfected his approach to cutting in the early part of his career while working as a national professional educator. The result of his unique approach to haircutting is the Perfect Drycut [tm], sported by the most fashion-forward women in our city and beyond.

He launched his first salon, Kenneth’s Haircutting, in 1976. Perfections is his second salon, located in the Montgomery Square shopping center. Devoted to lifetime learning, he teaches that a Perfect Drycut begins with a solid understanding of design.

“Once you understand true design,” he says, “you’ll be able to create any hairstyle for any client. A really great hair designer can create the perfect hairstyle for every client."

A businessman who has educated for major professional haircare product manufacturers and partnered with Procter & Gamble’s Salon Education Division, Kenneth serves as an ongoing consultant with MIKAL, a Cincinnati-based developer of the industry’s leading salon and spa software. Kenneth is available for appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
